Interim Leadership & Management

I am described as strong, consistent, approachable, stable, considerate and inclusive.

The fact that I “make everyone feel listened to and valued” is especially relevant for interim assignments, where it is important to instill confidence, provide momentum and maintain stability from day one.

My interim specialism is to provide cover for Chief Executive, Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer and other senior leadership roles. I am currently covering a period of maternity leave as the Chief Operating Officer at the Old Vic Theatre in London.

The duration of my interim assignments could be from a few weeks to approaching a year and be for a variety of reasons including parental leave, sickness absence, and periods between post-holders, while recruitment is taking place.  I can be flexible geographically.

I offer a strong values-driven leadership where language, intention and behaviour are consistent and aligned.  I am experienced working across the complex needs of different stakeholder groups to keep good communication open and ensure a greater understanding of the vision and direction of the organisation.

Wherever possible I aim to reach consensus and am committed to that as a way of working.  If, however, that is not possible, or indeed the consensus reached is not the best course of action for the organisation, then I will be clear-headed, thorough, and confident to reach the right way forward, communicating the vision in a way that persuades and inspires.  

I have been described as “a role model for leadership with humanity and integrity” and I aim to bring this to my interim work.
